Papillon Orchestra

Young artists for timeless music

Dir. Roberto Nobilio

Nuova Orchestra Papillon was founded in January 2005 from the desire to bring together and strengthen the diverse teaching experiences of musicians Simone Genuini, conductor and pianist, Roberto Nobilio, clarinetist and pianist, Valeria Bosso, violinist, and Gabriella Pasini, cellist, and to train the younger generation in great cultured music through the approach of studying the instrument at an early age and youth. The orchestral group also joins more advanced students with children in their first months of study, and from an initial staff of fifteen has grown to the current forty orchestral players and ten faculty members, including founders and guests. Many charitable activities undertaken among which is the concert the orchestra holds every year on Nov. 8 to benefit ASM (Association for the Study of Malformations). The orchestra, which has been conducting coordinated and continuous training for eighteen years, regularly gives concerts in Rome and Italy.
