Chiara Civello returns to the House of Jazz with a special “Birthday Concert.” On the Summertime 2023 stage the artist will also bring “I am as I am,” her latest single that expresses the freedom to be who you are without necessarily having to belong to a genre or style because, as she said Duke Ellington, there are two kinds of music: good music and everything else. Chiara Civello, an Italian singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist with a strong international background, has made hybridization, the mixing of different languages the hallmark of her artistic identity since the beginning. The repertoire will focus on the songs that punctuate the journey: from her beginnings in New York, to Brazilian collaborations, to reinterpretations of songs from around the world, and all the supporting roots that have led her to be who she is today.
