Borderlands Trio, the collective effort of bassist Stephan Crump, pianist Kris Davis (recent Grammy winner) and drummer Eric McPherson, has luck on its side. All three musicians are well known for their work with their own bands and with groups of other musicians, and their understanding on stage is natural. Everything happens in the moment; the chemistry of the band is deep. Pianist Kris Davis performed at Summertime 2023 in Dave Holland ‘s new quartet and is one of the top emerging piano talents on the New York scene.
