Angelo Olivieri ‘s musical production has improvisation, often radical, as its dominant element. Alongside this decisive aspect has consistently found a place, perhaps in the second row, for melody. From the first record work as a leader (“Oidé – Terre Sommerse”), to the latest (“Other Colors – AUT Records”), melody and the song form have always found a place, as a moment of respite, of self-searching. In this his latest project, Olivieri highlights the totality of these small spaces, building a path of b-sides, hitherto lateral, though fundamental, elements in his music. Together with him, three musicians with extreme sensitivity: Alessandro Gwis on piano, Federica Michisanti on double bass and Max Trabucco on drums.
