Four Winds<\/strong> is the meeting of Daniel Besthorn<\/strong>, Great Mudiare<\/strong>, Giuseppe Sacchi<\/strong> and Xuzhi Chen<\/strong>. Hailing from Germany, Africa, Asia and Italy, respectively, they met for the first time in Rome at the Saint Louis, forming the quartet Four Winds <\/strong>in March 2022. Since then, they have played at various clubs and festivals in the capital, developing a number of original songs, all of which originated spontaneously during studio sessions. The quartet’s name reflects their desire to blend all their different cultures and traditions into a cohesive sound, respecting the same spirit of unity and contamination that characterized the birth and development of jazz.<\/p>\n\n Training<\/strong><\/p>\n\n Xuzhi Chen: sax John Stowell<\/strong>, U.S. jazz guitarist and composer, known for his duo with bassist David Friesne<\/strong> with whom he toured the world for over thirty years, and for collaborating with musicians such as Uwe Kropinski<\/strong>, Dave Liebman<\/strong>, David Becker <\/strong>and others, will take the stage with the Saint Louis D.O.C., a young lineup of the best students of the Saint Louis College of Music’s Jazz Biennium in Rome, in an intergenerational encounter with unpredictable implications.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Four Winds Four Winds is the meeting of Daniel Besthorn, Great Mudiare, Giuseppe Sacchi and Xuzhi Chen.
